Amway Malaysia’s ultimate parent company posts USD4.9 billion in sales

Petaling Jaya, 23 October 2003 – Amway (Malaysia) Holdings Berhad (Amway Malaysia) was noted as one of the key markets of Alticor Inc (Alticor) who recently announced its worldwide sales of USD4.9 billion for its fiscal year ended August 31, 2003.

Alticor, established in 2000, operates through Amway Corporation (the parent company of Amway Malaysia)., Quixtar Inc., and Access Business Group LLC, a product development, manufacturing and logistics provider to the Amway Malaysia Group.

Our third quarter results bear testimony to the resilience of the distributors in their retailing efforts despite the difficult economic conditions,” said Low Han Kee, Managing Director of Amway Malaysia.

Amway Malaysia is expected to release its unaudited year-end results by the end of October, 2003. For the first nine months to May 31, 2003, Amway Malaysia recorded a pre-tax profit of RM60.0 million with a turnover of RM318.7 million compared to a pre-tax profit of RM54.6 million and a turnover of RM281.7 million for the first nine months last year.
