At a time like this, it seems like no contribution can ever be enough, but we try to do our part to ease the suffering of those affected by the disaster. Globally, Amway Corporation and its affiliates have contributed more than US$1,000,000 for relief efforts.

On January 5th, Amway Malaysia contributed RM200,000 to The Star Earthquake/Tsunami Relief Fund which will then be disbursed to the Malaysian Red Crescent Society for the purchase of medical supplies, food and clothing for victims in Malaysia and neighbouring countries including Indonesia, Sri Lanka and India. Separately, staff of Amway Malaysia also collected 25 boxes of clothes and blankets and a cash donation of about RM2,800 which will be donated to an aid organisation which will then channel the clothes and money to the tsunami-affected countries regionally.

Amway Malaysia is also in the midst of co-ordinating donations from distributors through the Amway Tsunami Relief Fund. The money will be donated to the Malaysian Red Crescent Society and Mercy Malaysia soon.
