CHEF WAN COOKS UP SUMPTUOUS DELIGHTS AT AMWAY'S iCook™ WORKSHOPS

Kota Kinabalu, 14 September 2005 - Amway distributors and customers had a delightful time at the iCook™ workshop held in Kota Kinabalu recently. With delicious aromas wafting in the air, celebrity Chef Wan and iCook™ ambassador entertained and expertly whipped up local and international favourites using iCook™, Amway (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd's (Amway) brand new range of stainless steel cookware centred around the concept of healthier cooking.

The workshop which was also held in Miri, Kuching, Sibu and Sandakan saw the participation of more than more than 1000 participants in total. The five workshops in East Malaysia were part of a series of 17 nationwide workshops organized by the leading direct selling company in conjunction with iCook™'s recent launch.

During the workshops, Chef Wan demonstrated four easy-to-prepare recipes utilising the features and benefits of iCook™. The highlight of the workshops was the demonstration of iCook™'s versatile stack-cooking feature. This innovative feature allows for smaller sized pans to be placed on top of larger ones resulting in synchronized meal preparation – all on one stovetop. All in all, the iCook™ range offers seven different stack-cooking combinations.

Another unique feature explained was the OPTITEMP™ base which improves heat distribution and retention enabling food to cook evenly. The OPTITEMP™ base is universally compatible on all types of cooktops.

Participants were also exposed to the Vitalok™ cooking method, which enables food to retain a third more essential vitamins and minerals when compared to traditional cooking methods.

General Manager for Amway, Mr. Paul Yee said that with the increasing awareness to consume safe and nutritious food, more Malaysians are taking the initiative to cook their own meals.

"Through the iCook™ workshops, we are not only able to equip Amway distributors with knowledge to help them become better product ambassadors but also demonstrate easy-to-prepare recipes so our distributors can effectively utilise this sophisticated cookware to bring healthy, wholesome food to their own dinner tables," explained Yee.

Workshop participants were also educated on proper use and care to ensure longevity of the cookware.
