AMWAY MALAYSIA NAMED BEST BRAND IN DIRECT SELLING

Petaling Jaya, 16 February 2007 - Leading direct selling company Amway (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. (Amway) has been conferred The BrandLaureate Award 2006-2007 for Branding Excellence in the Direct Selling Category. Amway is a subsidiary of Main Board listed Amway (Malaysia) Holdings Berhad.

Dato Ab. Halim b. Mohyiddin, Chairman of Amway (Malaysia) Holdings Berhad received the award from YB Dato Seri Nazri Abdul Aziz, Minister in the Prime Minister's Department on behalf of Amway at the awards ceremony held recently.

Amway received the recognition after meeting The BrandLaureate's stringent selection procedures based on a 300-point judging criteria that included Brand Strategy, Brand Culture, Brand Communication, Brand Equity and Performance.

According to Dato Ab.Halim: "After 30 years, the Amway brand has grown from strength to strength and the award is a testimony of Amway's staying power."

Established in 1976, Amway offers Malaysians a unique entrepreneurial opportunity rooted in its 200 meaningfully differentiated products under five corelines bearing the Amway trademark. To support its distributors' retailing efforts, the company has embarked on branding campaigns during its last 3 fiscal years for its two key power brands, Nutrilite health food supplements and Artistry skin care and cosmetics. Amway's core distributor force stands at 176,800 distributors as at December 31st, 2006.

Amway (Malaysia) Holdings Berhad recently posted a sales revenue of RM723.7 million and profit before tax of RM111.8 million for its 16-month financial period from September 1st, 2005 to December 31, 2006. The 16 months results came about from the change in Amway's financial year end from August 31st to December 31st to be aligned with its ultimate holding company, Alticor Global Holdings Inc.
