NEW PRODUCTS TO CONTRIBUTE RM57 MILLION TO AMWAY'S SALES THIS YEAR

Kuala Lumpur, May 03, 2007 - Main Board-listed Amway (Malaysia) Holdings Berhad (Amway) expects the launch of 14 new products to contribute RM57 million to its total sales in Financial Year 2007.

The new product offerings will come from the four core product lines carried by Amway, namely its NUTRILITETM food supplements, ARTISTRYTM Skin Care & Cosmetics, Home Care and Home Tech. Two major product launches for the year will come from the recently launched NUTRILITETM Double X multivitamin and the upcoming e-Spring Water Treatment System.

"To reinforce our emphasis on these hero products, the launches for NUTRILITETM Double X and e-Spring will be supported by major ground activities nationwide to create brand awareness and engagement with our existing customer base and the general public," said Paul Yee, Executive Director of Amway after its twelfth Annual General Meeting today.

To bring the NUTRILITETM brand closer to the public, Amway will be organising the NUTRILITETM Double X Challenge, an exciting team-based physical endurance and mental competition in the second half of 2007. The challenge heats will be conducted in selected major cities culminating in 10 teams competing in the Kuala Lumpur finals in August.

On the global front, NUTRILITETM has recently signed on two prominent sports personalities as spokespersons for the brand - Asafa Powell, the current joint world record holder in the 100-meter sprint and Liu Xiang, the current Olympic 110m hurdles champion. The global sponsorships of Powell and Liu will elevate the NUTRILITETM brand awareness, further promote NUTRILITETM products and create excitement among Amway distributors and customers.

According to Yee, the company is cautiously optimistic for the financial year, expecting a single digit growth, in view of easing inflation and stable interest rates and improved overall consumer sentiment in 2007. Yee added that the company will continue to manage costs, yet at the same time put in place the necessary initiatives to spur its distributors to intensify their retailing and sponsoring efforts.

"Aside from the wider choice of products now available, the Group will also embark on aggressive sales and marketing initiatives and exciting product promotions to spur retailing activities and boost productivity amongst Amway's 176,800 strong Core Distributor Force," concluded Yee.

Amway posted a record sales revenue of RM723.7 million, profit before tax of RM111.8 million and profit after tax of RM80.6 million for its 16-month financial period from September 1st, 2005 to December 31, 2006. The 16 months results came about from the change in Amway's financial year end from August 31st to December 31st to be aligned with its ultimate holding company, Alticor Global Holdings Inc.

Amway's sales revenue from January to December 2006 of RM554.8 million resulting in a profit before tax of RM87.5million and profit after tax of RM63.0 million will be used as references for future benchmarking purposes in view of the change in the financial year end to 31st December.

The shareholders also passed resolutions pertaining to the renewal of shareholders' mandate for recurrent related party transactions.
