| What's
the benefit of a skin care regimen? |
The
benefit of a properly formulated skin care regimen will
provide proper care and optimal health to the skin. Skin
that is well-cleansed and protected will look and feel healthier.
| What
are the basic steps in a good skin care routine? |
The
basic steps of a good skin care regimen are cleansing, moisturising
(hydration) and protecting. Men generally add shaving to
this routine.
| Why
shouldn't I clean my face with soap or bath soap? |
Some types
of soap can be irritating to sensitive skin and may be too
harsh in removing the necessary oils and lipids that aid
the skin in moisture retention.
| Are
TOLSOM products tested on animals? |
TOLSOM
products were not tested on animals. We conduct clinical and
consumer testing with human volunteers |
| What
is the T-10 complex found in the TOLSOM Men's
Skin Care Line? |
The
T-10 complex contains eight moisturising and two oil-control
ingredients that support men's skin. The moisturizers are
Glycerin, Panthenol, Sodium Hyaluronate, Wheat Germ Lipids
(Cephalins), Yeast Extract (Glycoproteins), Hops Extract,
Chamomile Extract, and Aloe Vera Gel. The oil control ingredients
are Lemon Extract and Cucumber Extract.
| Why
aren't TOLSOM products hypoallergenic? |
There
is no industry-accepted definition of hypoallergenic. However,
TOLSOM products are allergy tested and dermatological
tested.
| Why
do some products, despite extensive testing, still cause
a skin reaction on some people? |
No
skin-care product is guaranteed to be 100% irritation-free
for everyone. All TOLSOM products are thoroughly
tested for skin compatibility and safety, but there are
always a small number of people who are sensitive to certain
ingredients. Otherwise, the products are considered completely
safe. Just as some people are allergic to pets or dust,
others are allergic to common cosmetic ingredients. Of course,
we are careful not to use any ingredients that are known
to cause allergic reactions. The TOLSOM Line was
tested on men with sensitive skin.
| Which
age do you recommend that males start using TOLSOM
Skin Care products? |
Although
TOLSOM is targeted at men in their 20s and above,
teenagers around the age of 16 can start using TOLSOM.
| Why
do people with oily skin still need a moisturizer? |
Oily
skin is under the control of the sebaceous glands and is
independent of the moisture content of the skin. Sebum lubricates
the skin but is not particularly efficient in aiding moisture
retention. Moisture content is under the control of the
epidermis and in particular the stratum corneum. An oily
individual may have both excess oil and low moisture content
and would require a moisturiser.
| Is
it necessary to apply sun protection lotions on top
of TOLSOM Skin Protective Lotion? |
The
Skin Protective Lotion provides SPF15 broad-spectrum protection
against UVA/UVB rays. It should not be necessary to use
another product on the face. However, sun sensitive individuals
may feel it necessary to apply another product.
| Can
I still use ARTISTRY treatment products along with my
TOLSOM products? |
Yes.
Yes,
although the TOLSOM products
were formulated especially for men and contain the T-10
complex and men's citrus fragrance. Most women will prefer
ARTISTRY products.
| When
and in which order should I use TOLSOM
Men's Skin Care products? |
The

After Shave Splash) are meant to be used as part of a daily
shaving regimen. They are followed by use of the Skin Protective
Lotion. At night, cleanse, tone and follow with the Skin
Protective Lotion. All are proven to be gentle when used
together.
| What
kind of safety testing has been done on them? |
They
have been dermatologist tested and allergy tested. They
also tested to be non-comedogenic/acnegenic (won't clog
pores).

I have bad sunburn, can I use this product? |
